Eva Rydén, dramatic soprano, diplomatic opera singer. Born in Malmoe in south of Sweden and grew up in Skanör-Falsterbo, where she started her vocal career in the church choir.
Eva is educated at the University of Mozarteum in Salzburg with Mag.Art Diploma (”Magistra der Künsten”) for Prof. Rudolf Knoll and Prof. Horiana Branisteanu and with many years of private vocal studies for operasinger Karin Mang-Habashi in Malmoe and has also had Birgit Nilsson as friend and mentor, she made aswell several Master classes for among others; Madame Iris Adami Corradetti, Thomas Hampson, Brigitte Fassbänder, Barbra Ann Martin, Håkan Hagegård. Eva has been working as a freelancer since her completed in Salzburg.
She made an international opera debut summer 2000 at the Bayreuther Festspiele in Germany as Helmwiege in Richard Wagner’s Valkyrie, along with names like Plàcido Domingo and Maestro Giuseppe Sinopoli. Eva has also been a soloist at; The New Opera in Denmark, Probaltica Festiwal in Poland, Mikaeli Festival, Theater Mancinelli in Italy, Lund State Theater, Company Skanska Operan, EuStars, Piteå Festival to name a few.
Eva is an often sought concert singer in various contexts and has given concerts around Europe. Eva has participated in both foreign radio and tv and in swedish and has received the great Austrian song prize Gianna Szel – Singing Award Price with the motivation – ”For the best and for the most beautiful voice”. Eva has sung among others a large memorial concert for her mentor Birgit Nilsson ”from Birgit Nilsson’s repertoire”. The title role in Tosca with Sweden Tour. In Freiburg’s Concert hall, she has been a recurring soloist with the ORSO Philharmonic Orchestra, with Wagner and Verdi Galas, Rickard Strauss Vier Letzte Lieder, Vaughan Williams’s great Works A Sea Symphony, these have also been released as live recordings on CD.
Eva has recently sung a large and extensive Wagner concert with scenes from Tannhäuser, Brünnhilde scenes from Die Walküre, Siegfried, Götterdämmerung and Tristan und Isolde. Eva is always up to date with various concerts with Opera, Opereretta, Songs and Oratorium.
